Why Muisca

Advisory shaped to the social sector — not borrowed from it

Most consulting frameworks were built for commercial organizations. We work from a different starting point — one that takes your mission and your constraints seriously from the beginning.

What We Bring

Six things that shape every engagement

These aren't features we switch on for the right clients. They're how we approach every piece of work, regardless of its scale.

Sector experience

Our advisors have worked inside nonprofits and social enterprises, not just studied them. That difference shows up in how we understand trade-offs.

A considered process

Each of our services has a clear structure, so you always know where we are and what comes next. No vague deliverables or open-ended timelines.

Named advisors

You know who you'll be working with before you start. The same person who discusses your situation is the one who shows up for your sessions.

Accessible pricing

Our prices are set with the realities of the Colombian social sector in mind. You can see them clearly before you decide anything.

Written outputs

Every engagement produces something written that belongs to your organization — a summary, plan, or roadmap you can use and share.

Colombian context

We understand the funding environment, legal framework, and sector dynamics specific to Colombia — and we factor all of that into our advice.

Expertise

Advisors who have been inside the work

Our team spent years managing programs, stewarding donor relationships, and navigating governance challenges within actual organizations before becoming advisors. We're not working from theory — we're drawing on situations we've encountered, decisions we've seen go well and poorly, and patterns we recognize across the sector.

That direct experience shapes how we listen and what we notice. When you describe a tension between board expectations and staff capacity, we understand the texture of that situation, not just its surface.

Client Experience

A practice built around your organization's rhythm

We don't work from a fixed calendar that suits our schedule. We arrange sessions at times that fit your team's availability. Between sessions, we're responsive to questions that come up — not a voice that only appears when a meeting is scheduled.

We're also careful about scope. If your situation calls for a lighter touch, we say so. We won't recommend a longer engagement simply because it represents more work for us.

Value

Transparent pricing designed for the social sector

Our three service prices — $118.000, $196.000, and $308.000 COP — are fixed and visible before you contact us. There are no consultation fees for an initial call, and no surprise additions once work begins.

We set these prices with smaller organizations in mind. Many of our clients operate on restricted budgets, and we've made deliberate choices about what our services cost as a result.

Outcomes

Practical outputs, not lengthy reports

Every engagement ends with something your organization can actually use. A Mission Clarity Session produces a written statement and summary you can share with your board or funders. A Sustainability Companion ends with a shared plan your team helped build. An Impact Study delivers a prioritized roadmap in plain language.

We're not in the business of producing documents that sit unread. We check that what we produce reflects what you need to move forward — not just what we found interesting to research.

What Sets Us Apart

Distinctive features of working with Muisca

Bilingual advisory

We work fluently in both Spanish and English, which matters for organizations that report to international funders, partner with foreign organizations, or have board members across languages.

No pressure to expand

We don't upsell. If you come to us for a Mission Clarity Session and we don't see a reason to continue, we'll say so. Our reputation depends on being trusted, not on growing every account.

Sector connections

Our advisors maintain active relationships across the Colombian nonprofit and foundation sector. Where relevant, we can facilitate introductions to funders, peer organizations, or specialist advisors.

Formal confidentiality

We offer a written confidentiality agreement as a standard part of any engagement. You don't need to ask for it — we include it because we believe your organizational information deserves formal protection.
